Today we published imagery collected on 15-May using our Eagle f210 camera for the hail event on 13-May over areas south of Raleigh, North Carolina. 1.5 cm resolution images were collected over a swath of radar-indicated hail from Fuquay-Varina, NC to Garner, NC. Traditional and social media reports were also used to verify damages to structures and vehicles and refine the area of interest for this collection. GIC is monitoring conditions across the Central and Southern Plains and into portions of the Midwest.  A strong upper-level trough of low pressure will advance across the western US and then across the Great Plains Friday night and Saturday. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday afternoon through Friday night, including a likelihood for severe weather, across a large area of the Plains. NWS Storm Reports have included hail, wind reports, flash flooding, and tornadoes. GIC is monitoring conditions across the southern plains and southeast. NWS Storm Reports have included tornadoes, hail and wind reports from Texas through Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio, and South Carolina. Media is reporting fatal tornadoes in Texas and Mississippi. Damaging hail storms have been reported in San Antonio, TX and Killeen, TX. GIC is monitoring conditions across the Southern Plains, Southeast, and Ohio Valley this weekend. A strong area of low pressure will develop across the Southern Plains on Saturday. Severe thunderstorms are likely from east Texas across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday. A few strong tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail will be possible.
