Monitoring Severe Weather in the Southern Plains, East, and Southeast

As a strong low pressure system moves across the central and eastern part of the nation this weekend, GIC is monitoring for a variety of significant weather impacts. Large hail has fallen in areas around Dallas, Texas. Farther east and south, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast. These storms that develop may produce strong winds, large, and also some tornadoes. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will exist across eastern New Mexico and western Texas.
