Disaster Response Support
Rapid Insights Within 24 Hours
The GIC was born out of the need for immediate and rapid insight into disaster situations. The NICB relationship with law-enforcement allows the GIC’s air and land teams priority access to impacted areas. We are typically in and out with data before other imagery providers have yet mobilized.
With assets located at 37 hangars across the US and Southern Canada, we respond to any disaster event within a two-hour window using leading-edge UltraCam aerial cameras to capture high-resolution vertical and oblique imagery and terrestrial sensor systems for street level, imagery.
Our automated UltraMap software stack then makes short work of the processing to allow rapid access to post-disaster imagery within 24 hours of “wheels down.” Imagery is published to our ArcGIS-based Web Map Portal where pre- and post-disaster imagery can be compared and remote desktop property measurements can be made using embedded tools for fast and efficient claims adjustments.
Credentials for this portal are provided to GIC members and other high-priority users such as the Red Cross, FEMA, all Federal/state/local resources, major NGOs, and community organizations.
